The Metal Door and Window Manufacturing industry has a low concentration of ownership, since the four largest manufacturers are estimated to account for 10.9% of industry revenue in 2016-17. Most industry operators are small and operate within a narrow geographical area. Some may hold a dominant position in narrow product markets, such as the restoration of heritage buildings, but the vast majority of firms have few employees and limited annual revenue. There are fewer than five employees at 48.6% of enterprises and 68.6% employ fewer than 10 people. Only 1.9% of industry enterprises employ 100 people or more.
