Industry Report - Industry Key Buyers Chapter

The Electricians industry is highly fragmented, as the high number of enterprises and the proliferation of smaller firms demonstrate. The four largest enterprises – SSE Contracting, Imtech Technical Services, N G Bailey and Skanska Rashleigh Weatherfoil – are estimated to account for only 6% of industry revenue in 2016-17. The industry is characterised by its many small-scale, regionally dispersed contracting firms, although the largest players operate across Britain and have multiple establishments. The fragmentation of the industry is evident from the distribution of enterprises by employment size.
