The major product in the industry is carbonated soft drinks (CSDs), accounting for about 55% of industry revenue in 2012-13. Cola-flavoured soft drinks are the most common CSDs sold in the United Kingdom, representing over 60% of soft drink sales. During the five years through 2012-13, rising health awareness has driven an increase in low-sugar and diet cola CSDs. IBISWorld estimates that about 22% of cola CSD sales are low in sugar content.
